Dear Medina County Residents,

There are still many people in Medina County, who for a variety of reasons, do not have cable television.  As of February 17, 2009, all full-power television stations will stop broadcasting in analog and switch to 100% digital broadcasting.  This promises to give TV watchers a clearer picture and more programming options among other things.  However, those people who do not have cable will need to purchase a converter box in order to watch TV.

If you go to http://www.dtv2009.gov , you will see a great deal of information about this change and a way to apply for coupons for those converter boxes (up to two per household).  The coupons can be applied to the cost of converter boxes.   The website will also explain the options you will have for the future.    Please take the time to read this important information and please pass the website address along to other people.  It is vital to those who watch TV to understand what the changes will be.  Thank you.

Have a good week!

Sincerely,
Michael E. Kovack
