Cooper came in with his friend Woody.  Though we would like them to be adopted together, they do not have to be.  Cooper is 5yrs old, he loves to cuddle and go on walks and knows basic commands.

Cooper has been spayed/neutered, vaccinated, flea treated, microchipped and has tested neg. for heartworm which is included in the $150 adoption fee.
Cosmo started out very shy, but she has adapted to shelter life and is now enjoying being petted and played with.  Cosmo is a sweet girl who LOVES catnip toys and is very playful and fun!  Cosmo will certainly entertain you with her playful antics and make a wonderful companion!
Hypothetical question for you - If you could wrap love in a package to give to someone, what would the package look like?  It would have to be beautiful, right?  Brightly colored?  Maybe with sparkles and a big, glittery bow on top?  It's a gift of pure love, after all.  So it should look like something that makes the receiver say, "Ooooooooh!" as soon as they see it, shouldn't it?  Such a special gift should LOOK special, right?

But ... love is a funny thing.  And sometimes you can find it in unexpected places, looking like unexpected things.  Sometimes, love can look like a plain, brown tabby cat.  And sometimes, great love can be found just sleeping in the corner, plain and quiet.  The trick is that you have to "unwrap the gift".  How?  Gentle touches, soft stroking, kind words.  Do this and you'll see the love emerge, like a flower blooming right in front of you - loving nuzzles, tiny kisses of joy, a gentle rumble of purr, asking to be picked up and held close to you...

So if you're willing to look for love in a plain, brown package, please come in and ask for Gunnar - that's me.  I may look like I'm sleeping quietly in the corner, but I'm not, really.  I'm waiting for someone to unwrap my love.

Gunner been vaccinated, wormed, spayed/neutered and tested negative for FELV/FIV which is all included in the $60 adoption fee.

My name is Jessica and I'm looking for a home!  What kind of a home?  Hmmm...well, it should be a home with someone to love me.  Someone who appreciates a small, soft, friendly cat.  And maybe with some toys?  I LOVE TOYS.  I'm so playful and so small, people are always asking if I'm still a kitten!  I'm not, of course, but it's flattering that they ask.  So if a little bundle of cuddly fun like me sounds right for you, please stop by and ask for Jessica - that's me!

Jessica has been vaccinated, wormed, spayed/neutered and tested negative for FELV/FIV which is included in her adoption fee.

Piglet has been spayed/neutered, vaccinated, microchipped and has tested neg. for heartworm which is included in the $150 adoption fee.
Rocket is indeed a tennis ball destruction expert!  He just LOVES the things - in fact, he loves them to death!  He's just 4 years old and is a little guy with big energy!  Rocket needs a home with an active lifestyle where he can be the only pet.  Rocket would also do best in a home with no children - he's very sweet, but can have issues with physical restraint (he doesn't like to be held when he isn't in the mood for it).

If you're looking for a fun, high-energy little dog and you've got lots of tennis balls with no one to mangle them, Rocket may be just the dog for you!  Stop in to see him today.

Rocket has been spayed/neutered, vaccinated, flea treated, microchipped and has tested neg. for heartworm which is included in the $150 adoption fee.
My name is Samantha and I'm what they call a "special case"...

I came to the shelter five years ago, and I was never quite like the other cats.  I was afraid of new people and I would hide.  I would freak out if I'm picked up (it feels like they want to EAT me, it's so scary!).  The nice people here thought that finding my person would be very hard, so instead, they gave me a job and made me an office cat.  And that was good because I'm very organized (for a cat)!

But lots of stuff has changed in five years.  The offices are getting moved around to make more space for incoming cats and MY space has gotten smaller and smaller.  Now I'm stuck in one little room all the time and I don't like it.  But the GOOD news is that *I've* changed, too!  I'm not quite as scared of new people as I used to be.  And the truth is, once I get used to a person, I'm VERY LOVEY!  I'll be all over that person rubbing and loving on them and asking for pets!

But if I'm to ever get a real home of my own, I'll need someone special.  Someone who is willing to be VERY patient with me and give me time to get used to new spaces and routines.  Someone who knows not to move fast and startle me.  Someone who knows where the GOOD catnip toys are!

Samantha has been spayed/neutered, vaccinated, and has tested neg. for FELV/FIV.  Because she has been with us for so long, there is no fee to adopt her.
Toby is a very nice and handsome boy though it appears he does not like to be picked up and will bite.  Sadly the he went to a home where children visit often so keeping him was not an option.  He prefers women over men.  His adoption fee has been sponsored.  He would do best in a home with no other dogs.  He is 11yrs old.  Toby has been spayed/neutered, vaccinated, flea treated, microchipped and has tested neg. for heartworm.
Woody came in with his friend Cooper.  While they love each other they don't have to be placed together although that would be nice!  Woody is a very sweet dog and gets along well with other dogs.  He is good with children also.

Woody has been spayed/neutered, vaccinated, flea treated, microchipped and has tested neg. for heartworm which is included in the $150 adoption fee.
My name is York and I am not your average cat!  I'm over the top excited to see you!  I'm super friendly, outgoing, and TALKATIVE!  And yes, I'm exactly the sort of cat who will run to the door to greet you when you come home!  (And don't worry - I'll never go to soccer practice and leave you hanging - I'm way better than the neighbor kid.)

So if you've got an empty spot in your life that you want to fill with love, good conversation, and a heart that is totally devoted to you, please come by and ask for York - that's me!

York has been spayed/neutered, vaccinated, and has tested neg. for FELV/FIV which is included in the $60 adoption fee.
