KOVACK ANNOUNCES 2010 SCHOLARSHIP WINNER
Michael E. Kovack announced that
Stephanie Rigot is the 2010 winner of the annual
Auditor's Office Scholarship. Stephanie just
graduated from Wadsworth High School with a
Career-Technical Honors Diploma. This fall she will
be attending Miami University in the Secondary
Mathematics Education Program. Her proud parents
are Steven and Trissa Rigot.
Stephanie has participated in Speech
and Debate, Young Life Youth Group, tutored at the
Salvation Army and was a member of both Future
Educators Association of Ohio and SADD. She also
was selected as Career-Technical Student of the Month in
February, 2010, a winner of a Clapper Award in 2009 and
served as Treasurer of the Speech and Debate Team.
The $500 scholarship is funded by the
staff of the Medina County Auditor's Office. The staff
raises money throughout the year. The scholarship is to
be used toward tuition, books or other school
expenses. A committee of Deputy Auditors selects
the recipient of the scholarship based on school and
community activities as well as an applicant's commitment
to further education.
Auditor Kovack said, "It is a
special privilege to award this scholarship. I am
proud of the effort the staff makes to fund this award
year after year. Stephanie is an outstanding
student with an excellent academic record and a clear
idea of the career path she wants to follow. Our
hats are off to Stephanie Rigot!"
