STORM DAMAGE REMINDER

Michael E. Kovack, Medina County Auditor, reminds the public that in the event of severe storms in Medina, property owners who suffer damage may be eligible for a tax break on their tax bill.  This assistance is also offered to those who have fire damage or some other form of damage to their property.

The damage must be structural in nature---not to trees, shrubbery, etc.

Just click on the "Forms" button located to the left and download the Destroyed or Damaged Form.

If someone you know is unable to download from this site, please ask them to contact our office and ask for the "Application for Valuation Deduction for Destroyed or Damaged Real Property."  Call 330.725.9139 for Medina, 330.225.7100, ext. 9139 for Brunswick or 330.336.6657, ext. 9139 for Wadsworth.  A member of the staff will mail a form to you immediately upon request.

If you have sustained damage, Auditor Kovack urges you to fill this form out in a timely manner as deadlines apply.
