TO
THE STUDENTS OF THE MONTH
|
Dear Medina County Residents,
I am pleased to recognize the Medina County
Kiwanis Students of the Month for October and
November!
Every month, a student committee at each of the
eight high schools in the county reviews
applications from their schools and selects the
best male and female as their individual high
school Students of the Month. Then
representatives from all eight high schools get
together to select the one outstanding male and
one outstanding female for the entire
county! It is really a very select group of
students.
Congratulations to all our outstanding students
in Medina County!

 SELENA PASADYN
OCTOBER COUNTYWIDE STUDENT OF THE
MONTH
Senior Selena Pasadyn, of Brunswick High School,
was selected as the Medina Kiwanis Countywide
Student of the Month for October. Selena,
who is ranked number one in her class, is also a
representative to Buckeye Girls State, a member
of National Honor Society and a Komen Youth
Ambassador. Selena excels out of the classroom as
well. She has collected 10 varsity letters, set
eight school records and served as captain for
the cross country, track and swim teams. |

OCTOBER COUNTYWIDE STUDENT OF THE
MONTH
Thomas Ziebro, a senior from Black River High
School, was selected as the Medina Kiwanis
Countywide Student of the Month for
October. Thomas is also ranked number one
in his class at Black River. He has served
as the vice president of student council, a
representative to Buckeye Boys State and a member
of National Honor Society. He collected 10
varsity letters in basketball, cross country and
track. He participated in marching band,
concert band and was named to the All-Ohio State
Fair Band.

NOVEMBER COUNTYWIDE STUDENTS OF
THE MONTH
Stephanie Horvath, a senior from Highland High
School, was selected as the Medina Kiwanis
Countywide Student of the Month for
November. Stephanie, who is ranked ninth in
her class, is also a member of National Honor
Society and yearbook editor. As a four-year
starter for the Highland Golf Team, Stephanie was
named First Team All-Conference and First Team
All-County,

 MITCHELL PETEK
NOVEMBER COUNTYWIDE STUDENTS OF
THE MONTH
Senior Mitchell Petek, of Highland High School,
was selected as the Medina Kiwanis Countywide
Student of the Month for November. Mitchell
served as a member of National Honor Society and
Latin Club. He volunteers his time as a
camp counselor and as a youth baseball and
basketball coach. As a member of the varsity
track team, he was recognized with the Scholar
Athlete Award. |
