Calling All Fourth Graders!!!!
16th Annual Top Dog Contest
 

Do you think your dog or a friend’s dog is the best dog living in Medina County? If so, you could win great prizes for you, your dog and one of the first five dog tags for 2011.

Contest starts September 6, 2010. EVERY STUDENT who enters will receive a coupon for a small ice cream cone from Northland Dairy Queen, Medina.

Here are the contest rules you must follow:

1. The contest is open to all Medina County students who are currently fourth grade-level students. You must write an essay about why you think a particular dog is the Top Dog in Medina County. You will be judged on your essay.
2. The dog does not have to be owned by the writer, but it must be alive and living in Medina County.
3. Only one entry per student. We encourage you to create your own entry form with your art work, but you will be judged on the essay.
4. Please PRINT clearly. Each entry must have: Student’s Name, Full Address, Phone #, School, Teacher’s Name and Name of Parent or Guardian.
5. Entries must be the sole work of the contestant--Mom, Dad, friends can’t help you write this!
6. All entries must be received in the Medina County Auditor’s Office by Friday, November 12, 2010. Teachers may send the class entries to Geri through the County Board of Education Pony System (Media Center) or entries can be mailed or hand-delivered to the Auditor’s Office at 144 North Broadway, Room 306, Medina.
7. Entries will be judged by a panel of staff members from the Medina County Auditor’s Office.
8. Awards will be presented in the Administration Building, Room 303, on Tuesday, November 30, 2010 at 4:00. Winners will be asked to bring their families, their teachers and the winning dogs for a photo opportunity.
