Twins Make a Difference for Haiti!
Dear Medina County Residents,
Medina is blessed with twins, Alexi
and Kylee McFarland, who are 10 years old and wanted to
do something for Haiti. With their mother's
permission, they went door to door in their neighborhood
asking for donations for Haiti. They canvassed
three streets and raised over $500 which they gave to the
Red Cross!
Who are Kylee and Alexi? They
are 4th graders at Eliza Northrop Elementary. Alexi
loves reading. Kylee loves math. Both of them are
busy with school and activities, have lively senses of
humor, clearly love each other and their family, Mom, Dad
and their younger brothers, Logan and Brant---also twins!
The twins' parents are very supportive of what the girls
are doing---and very proud!
Alexi and Kylee were devastated by the
pictures from Haiti. Especially moving to them were
the pictures of the children. The girls said when
they went door to door, people were very
generous. Neighbors were giving, proud of what the
girls were doing, and happy to help.
Helen Keller once said:
"I am
only one. I cannot do everything, but still I can
do something. I will not refuse to do the something
I can do."

Well, Kylee and Alexi are only two--but what a difference
they have made! We are proud of the twins and the
whole McFarland family. They chose to do something and
they are an inspiration to me, and I am sure, to you!
Sincerely,
Michael E. Kovack
