Shaun Bland, Medina Weights and
Measures Inspector for the Auditor's Office, is certified with
comprehensive technical training in the area of Weights and
Measures Enforcement and Administration.
The certification program is presented by the
Ohio Department of Agriculture and the Ohio Weights and Measures
Association which is a non-profit organization dedicated to
promoting uniformity in weights and measures and equity in the
marketplace.
You may see Shaun in our Weights and Measures truck travelling
around Medina County testing gas pumps, scales, scanners, and all
other commercial measuring devices. Getting throughout the
county to inspect all these different devices takes Shaun a year.
There are thousands of pieces of equipment to be validated each
year.
